“We have been staying at the Midnight Ranch since the year 2000. These gorgeous mountain homes make a perfect headquarters for our family for our annual men’s getaway and our family reunion. If there is a more beautiful area or surrounding views and activities, I don’t know where it is. We come for the fishing, but the hiking, biking, or any other adventure you can think of is incredible. We hope to be coming back year after year to this incredible spot.”
“Our friends and family are STILL talking about how much fun they had at the wedding and how amazing the site was. You helped us out so much and I appreciate everything you did for Tom and I. We had a blast and I wish we could do it over again!”
“We have been taking a group of adult and kids snowmobiling once a year for the past 3 years. This is a great facility with plenty of room for everyone. Super close to great riding and a fantastic field for the younger riders to play in. Steve is great to work with and we are already planning our next vacation.”
“We spent a long weekend at Midnight Ranch in September to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. Steve (owner) was great to work with and even moved us into one of his larger homes when he realized the makeup of our group. The house was beautiful, the property absolutely lovely and we enjoyed our stay immensely. We’ll be back for sure!!”
“My family has been staying at the Lodgepine cabin multiple times a year for the past three years. There are very few places that give you a sense of serenity in such a beautiful setting. If you enjoy winter sports, there is some of the best country Colorado has to offer right off of the doorstep. You can enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross country skiing in some of the most beautiful forests that Colorado has to offer. Endless miles of trails and country to explore. Close enough to Steamboat to enjoy the towns great atmosphere. Secluded enough to provide the best outdoor experiences with a great house to come back to and enjoy that rustic comfort that a mountain setting has to offer. I Would definitely recommend Midnight Ranch to anyone and everyone. Steve is great!”
“Midnight Ranch was a beautiful wedding site! We had the ceremony and reception all in one place and it was beautiful. Many of our guests stayed in the cabins, which are beautifully hand-crafted and totally unique. Steve put in a ton of effort to make sure everything went smoothly so we could enjoy our day!”
“We fit eight adults and 5 kids in the property very comfortably. The facility is rustic and the kids had a great time in the hot tub. Beautiful setting and we were visited by bald eagles on a daily basis. We rode bikes and fished in nearby streams and lakes. Good time had by all.”
“Melissa and I both wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC time out at the ranch for our wedding! We would love to come back some time and hang out with you again. Everything was beautiful ! Our family and friends still are talking about it. Thanks for being so awesome about everything.”
“Midnight Ranch is truly a special place. The setting is exceptional, and the Lodgepine Cabin was equally great. The “cabin” is much more like a home, and is incredibly cozy and charming with its post and beam architecture and remnants of the turn of the century home it was built around. Our kids LOVED the hot tub in the enclosed porch area – for them it was a lot like having a little indoor pool. Steve is a great host, and made us feel very at home. If you are looking for a beautiful place to escape to and like the idea of a unique, character filled home, Lodgepine Cabin at Midnight Ranch or the neighboring Angler Cabin are great options.”
“Our entire family took a stay at the Lodgepine house at the Midnight Ranch at Hahns Peak late this summer. It was everything we were told it would be by the owner plus more. Our ages ranged from 3 to 60 and we all enjoyed it immensely, from the hot tub to the small lake that is on the property. The Lodgepine is roomy and has all the comforts of home and the scenery is spectacular. We fished several of the lakes in the area and took hikes on the many trails that are close by, some even climbed to the top of Hahns Peak. The owner, Steve was very cordial and let us know that he was there for us if we needed anything. I would highly recommend the Lodgepine house if you are looking for a stay that will be memorable for years to come.”
“We had such an amazing time for our wedding weekend, it truly was a magical time for us and all of our family/friends! People are still talking about it all the time…that double rainbow was mind blowing! We really appreciate all the love and energy you put into your ranch because it made our wedding day the best experience of our lives!!”
“Our family really loved the Angler Cabin. My husband and I brought our two children and my parents to the cabin over the summer for a long weekend. We were so pleased with how beautiful the cabin was. It is incredibly spacious and incredibly clean. The kitchen is a lovely place to make meals and the banquet breakfast nook seats plenty of people. We hiked the trails every day, and fished in nearby lakes as well. There is a great lake beach not far from the cabin and it was a fun place to take the kids for a day to explore in the sand and water. We highly recommend Angler Cabin for any family looking to get away in a beautiful home and in a beautiful part of the country.”
“We are a family of snowmobilers. For the past 12 years we have spent our Christmas holiday snowmobiling. We have visited a number of places in Colorado and were looking for better snow conditions. We found the Midnight Ranch online and made a phone call to Steve Coolidge in the fall of 2011. We drove up and spent an afternoon with him and signed a contract to stay 10 days on the spot. We arrived at the Angler Cabin on December 21st late in the evening. Steve had a fire going in the fireplace for us and the lights blazing. The family spent a few minutes exploring the cabin and picking out their room. This beautiful cabin was handcrafted and built by Steve himself. All of the logs and materials in the cabin were grown on his property. This cabin is fully stocked with everything! We spent the first evening unpacking items for the kitchen only to discover that we didn’t need to bring half of it because Steve already had it. There was every possible item to cook with, including a crock-pot and a popcorn popper! The dishwasher was great as it gave us more family time to play cards in the evening. There is a wood stove along with a forced air furnace. We preferred the wood stove and Steve ensured that we always had plenty of wood to burn. It was very relaxing to sit by the fire and listen to the crackling of wood while telling stories and making memories. This cabin is located in Colorado’s most picturesque snow covered mountains. When we visited in the fall, Steve assured us that he would always have plenty of fuel on site for our snowmobiles. This was critical for us as we ride hard and burn a lot of fuel. We were able to ride our snowmobiles right from the front door. This area has snowmobiling for riders of all levels of expertise. There are over 400 miles of groomed trails from the doorstep for those who prefer riding the trails. There is also plenty of snow for boon-dockers, hill climbers and speed demons. This cabin comfortably sleeps 10 and easily accommodated our 86 year old mother. Our family was able to spread out with none of us feeling crowded yet it was so homey. We were so impressed that we immediately booked Christmas 2012. There is only one thing that would make this a place better – and that is us owning it so that we could stay there year round!!! Thanks, Steve for a wonderful vacation. We now consider you our friend.”
“Thank you so much again for everything that you did to help make it the best weekend and wedding ever! The wood pieces and the cake stands were perfect! I also really appreciate the drive to the ceremony in your sweet truck!”
“Our favorite time for the Angler Cabin is during the snowmobiling season. It is a wonderful, cozy, warm cabin for a whole family get away with access to all the trails and fields for all levels of skill of riding. Tubing hills for kids and nearby fields for cross country skiing and snowshoeing right out the back door. Sign us up again this year!!”
